  1. the xxl article was surely on point. but some of the rappers aid in the whole “being real” bull ish by doing some of the things that they talk about in their songs. Either being caught with drugs, getting arrest, domestic issues, being involved in shootings, etc.
I am one of the many who couldn’t care less as to whether the rappers are “real” or not, I actually prefer the latter because if your “real” ass is going to be involved in the real life drama then you won’t have time to release that good music (choke) Rick Ross.
I’ll take it even further by saying that if they aren’t the ones who pen their own lyrics that doesn’t faze me either. If you delivery is on point as well as the lyrics, I don’t care if your mammy wrote it lol

    • yeah i agree with some of those points to an extent, like in R&B and other music genres the audience could care less who actually wrote the lyrics. I mean most of them simply aren’t song writers and when the song writers do step up and try to sing they aren’t as good for the most part. I’m sure there are exceptions to this.

  2. ya that $130 was thrown around last year until Patterson tried to stymie it. I hope it doesn’t go through!

    • yeah people have it hard enough as it is.
